High performing engines for any application | MAN offers a wide range of high speed, four stroke engines for commercial marine use. MAN marine engines provide powerful acceleration in a compact and installation friendly package. Low maintenance, extended oil change periods and outstanding  low fuel consumption  minimize the TBO for the operator.  MAN has defined 3 standard load profiles: Light, medium and heavy duty.

LIGHT DUTY
If you use your engine for a low number of annual operating hours such as high speed fishing boats, small patrol boats, etc. this load profile is prefect for you. The high torque, economical fuel consumption together with low noise  and vibration free operation make these engines the ideal propulsion power for you.

DEFINITION OF THE LIGHT DUTY OPERATION PROFILE:
Annual operation < 1000 hours
Full load < 200 hours
TBO < 5000 hours
Oil change < 400 hours
Rated Speed 2300 RPM

MEDIUM DUTY

DEFINITION OF THE MEDIUM DUTY OPERATION PROFILE:
Annual operation < 3000 hours
Full load < 1500 hours
TBO < 12,000 hours
Oil change < 500 hours
Rated Speed 2100 RPM

The V8 and V12 engines allow for max. 4000 hours of annual operation.

HEAVY DUTY
If your application requires power and torque all day and every day, MAN offers this in a compact and installation friendly package. Low maintenance, extended oil change periods and outstanding low fuel consumption minimize the TBO for the operator. All engines can be supplied to meet Classification Society requirements.
