Engine Control Units
MAN engines can be supplied with engine control units from Bosch Rexroth. They are available with either the standard control head or the "Palm Beach" side mount style of control.

All connections between the engine control and the engine are by CAN bus cables. This gives ease of installation and dispenses with wiring and wiring connections, the source of many control problems. The marine propulsion controller (MPC) computer control unit is integrated into the engine control box which further eases installation and frees up valuable space in the engine room.

All Bosch controls are serviced by the MAN Service Dealer network.

MAN Emergency Operation Unit
In the unlikely event of a complete control failure, the operation of the engines and reduction gears can be transferred to the Emergency Operation Unit. The unit bypasses the engine controls, and through push buttons on the helm mounted panel, it is possible to complete your voyage in complete control and safety.For information on the operation of this unit, please contact RDI Marine.

MAN CLC 6.3 Digital Display Panel
All MAN CR engines are supplied with a CLC 6.3 digital display unit. Scrolling through this 4-page display shows all engine operating parameters, including fuel burn, in digital or analogue format.Alarms, should they occur, are shown in bright red on a black screen and together with an alarm horn gain instant attention in the event of a problem.

The unit is daylight viewable. Further units can be connected to provide engine displays at any location throughout the boat.
